The Strategic Marketing & Communications Lead is an experienced, results-oriented marketing and communications professional with a deep understanding of integrated communications strategies and brand stewardship. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this team member provides marketing representation to key company channels and is responsible for designing and executing strategies and initiatives that support continued growth, excellence in client service, and elevation of the brand. The role requires effective execution as a strategic thinker, cross-functional facilitator, and collaborator. The Lead interacts regularly with senior leadership team members and represents the MarComm team with professionalism and the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing and ensuring the execution of strategic marketing and communications plans to support firmwide objectives and activities critical to firmwide success, as identified in collaboration with MarComm leaders.
  • Serves as the Marketing & Communications strategic liaison for key Sequoia teams experiencing robust growth. Responsible for aligning the objectives of these departments with marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Serves as the point of contact to the broader MarComm team for assigned channels, including as the primary marketing contact for Sequoia advisors serving within these channels, providing strategic counsel, collateral support, and guidance on available tools.
  • As the liaison to specific channels, becomes well-versed in how to position the channel for effective marketing purposes and is expected to personally outline, and often write/produce, associated content in order to initiate related materials.
  • Responsible for facilitation of all content production and communication mediums needed to support marketing for assigned channels, including email communications, presentations, and printed materials.
  • Guides written materials through visual design to ensure the finished product aligns with the projectโ€™s objectives and expectations of the key audiences.
  • Leads regularly scheduled partnership strategy meetings. Brings related action items to MarComm team for execution.
  • While often working as in individual contributor, collaborates with all MarComm team members as a team player, bringing related talents and abilities to the department to provide the best outcomes for the firm. Related responsibilities to be determined.
Required Skills/Experience
  • A bachelorโ€™s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of related experience preferably in a multi-family office or Registered Investment Advisory firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing integrated marketing and communications strategies for multi-tiered organizations, departments, and channels.
  • Strong understanding of personal financial services delivery to UHNW and HNW clients is preferred.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency.
  • Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships with leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
