Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. The Communications team at Arthrex is growing and we are actively searching for a Communications Specialist II - Product.   This position will be responsible for the development and execution of integrated communication strategies and campaigns that support product marketing/promotion, medical education and patient education initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, present and execute strategic communication plans that support the needs of product teams, medical education and other stakeholders within assigned verticals.
  • Manage or assist with the entire life cycle of campaign initiatives, including research, planning, concepting, implementation, evaluation and reporting.
  • Oversee the product-related social media channels within assigned verticals; develop and maintain a continuous pipeline of high-quality content; and drive performance against established KPIs for audience growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional communications and creative teams to produce written content and multimedia assets for social media, email and other digital channels.
  • Manage or assist with all project workflow processes across multiple teams and departments; ensure established business objectives and project deadlines are met.
  • Manage or assist with the documentation of approvals, following all established SOPs.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on social media strategies, insights and best practices.
  • Ensure all product communications represent Arthrex brand standards and align with regulatory, legal and compliance regulations for the medical device industry.
  • Serve cross-functional roles within the department as needed or assigned.  

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in communications, marketing or related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience with account management (agency or in-house) working with or on a Communications or Marketing team
  • Experience with enterprise marketing automation and social media platforms for business  

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to incorporate business insights into strategic communication plans and overall creative output
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Highly collaborative with demonstrated emotional intelligence and experience working successfully with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to be resourceful and effectively handle multiple stakeholders with changing priorities
  • Deadline- and detail-oriented with strong initiative and the ability to manage multiple projects/processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Foreign language skills such as Spanish and German a plus
  • Demonstrates foundational skills and ability to develop and present strategic communication plans with greater independence and proficiency
  • Generally works within a specific vertical or focus area taking on a broad range of initiatives
  • Requires less guidance and supervision to generate and produce campaign deliverables
  • Develops relationships with stakeholders/business partners and serves as a main point of contact for the team
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Intermediate knowledge of social media best practices and email communication strategies

  • Macintosh and/or PC computer skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite and Canva a plus
