Job Title: HR Manager

About GLOVIS EV Logistics America LLC GLOVIS EV Logistics America, is an integrated logistics company located in Savannah, Georgia. Responsibilities for HR Manager:

  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Serves as HOS (Head of Section) for the Human Resources department.
  • Responsible for coordinating and managing HR programs and functions
  • Provides advice and counsel to management team regarding personnel practices, policy, and employment laws
  • Administers compensation program; monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Manages benefits administration to ensure that claims are being resolved as well as changes are being reported, invoices are being processed for payment and information is being communicated to team members
  • Files EE0-1 report annually. Maintains records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
  • Establishes practices necessary to have a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale.
  • Ensure all legal requirements are being met regarding personnel records including employee information, payroll, insurance, and 401K.
  • Advise managers in employee relations matters and resolve employee issues. Assisting with corrective action processes as needed.
  • Ensure compliance, recording keeping and reporting of government regulations affecting human resources.
  • Oversee the processing of hourly and salary payrolls.
  • Develop and maintain wage and salary structure, pay policies and performance appraisal programs.
  • Recruitment, screening, and orientation of candidates for all positions.
  • Responsible for termination processing including unemployment hearings.
  • Maintains Worker's Compensation and Safety programs and documentations.
  • Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
  • Assistant in developing and implementing safety programs for facility.
  • Responsible for Core Value Initiatives within facility.
  • Responsible for setting and maintain HR yearly community, training, and employee relations schedule
  • Work with other managers/HOS's to communicate and share information to ensure all departments are working together.
  • Other responsibility and job duties and required and requested

Qualifications for HR Manager:

  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources (5 years in a managerial role)
  • PHR or SHRM-CP (Preferred)
  • Preferred experience in Logistics/Automotive industry
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
  • Comfortable sitting for long periods of time while working on tasks
