What You'll Do
Digital Media Strategy - 10%
  • Collaborate with Assistants and Senior Associates, and Supervisors for strategy and plan development
  • Identify how digital strategy fits into overall brand communication goals
  • Employ Horizon Media's suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis of competitive landscape, target/audience digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
  • Participate in team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications within digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge
  • Contribute to the creation and presentation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategy decks, and other related functions

Media Negotiating & Buying - 30%
  • Gather rates for planning costs
  • Effectively negotiate & steward buys across multiple accounts
  • Analyze daypart mixes and pricing within plans
  • Lead RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, compile proposal analysis and drive partner negotiations
  • Oversee accuracy of plan details and insertion orders within internal systems tool
  • Maintain collaboration with key contacts during planning process, including Partners, Creative Agencies, Paid Social and Programmatic

Campaign Management & Execution - 20%
  • Set up campaigns in Prisma and SBMS
  • Implement site tagging, ensuring all first- and third-party trafficking is properly executed
  • Issue specs documents, IOs, and ensure all materials are received from creative agency
  • Oversee creation of campaign post launch information (i.e. screenshots, links and placement information) to demonstrate proof of placement for clients
  • Work alongside assistant associate on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, campaign validation and brand safety
  • Manage market budgets and deliverables (GRPs, impressions, response data)
  • React quickly to campaign results, and implement required optimizations as directed
  • Assist account manager with budget maintenance, clearance spreadsheets and other campaign data
  • Ensure all deals are delivering throughout the flight
  • Participate in campaign results meetings/calls with client and strategy teams

Reporting & Analysis - 20%
  • Monitor and report on media campaigns on an ongoing basis, communicating optimization opportunities and challenges to internal teams and media partners
  • Parse through partner ad verification and ad server data to provide critical thinking and analysis, as well as draw conclusions and discover actionable implications
  • Responsible for providing data for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of data shown
  • Analyze MSAs and delivery reports from partners on a quarterly basis to deliver the post report to the Business Solutions team

Reconciliation - 10%
  • Work with Assistant to reconcile monthly invoices and track all monthly totals by deal
  • Work with the billing department to make sure all invoices have been correctly input
  • Work through discrepancies with the respective partner(s)

Relationship Management & Mentorship - 10%
  • Help to train Assistants and onboard new Associates
  • Delegate and provide real time feedback to direct report(s)
  • Through effective verbal and written communication, develop and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships with Horizon Media departments (Business Solutions, Traffic, Ad Ops, Billing) as well as external partners
  • Effectively manage up and down, collaborate with your Senior Associate and Supervisor on day-to-day account activities, status, and deliverables

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in fast-paced advertising/marketing environment
  • 1-2 years' experience related to active buying and planning
  • Experience with national buying across the linear and digital landscape
  • Background in analyzing and managing buys towards campaign performance metrics
  • Strong proficiency in Media Math
  • Experience using Prisma
  • Knowledge of various channels and buying methods (video, display, programmatic, social)
  • Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
  • Confidence within Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in negotiating and constructing digital media plans
  • Competence within systems and tools related to the media planning process (i.e. media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)
  • Mastery of third-party ad server and ad verifications (DCM, Double Verify, Innovid preferred)

Salary Range
$66,300.00 - $80,000.00
A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
