Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to manage the purchase order process through shipment. This role is integral to ensuring a seamless customer experience, coordinating between clients, internal teams, and logistics partners to deliver custom flooring solutions. The ideal candidate will possess experience in hospitality, exceptional organizational skills, proficiency in order management systems, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Order Processing: Manage the entry, review, and tracking of purchase orders into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Customer Communication: Act as the primary contact for customers, providing updates on order status, shipping timelines, and resolving inquiries or issues.
  • Coordination: Liaise with internal departments, including production, logistics, project management, and sales, to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of orders, correspondence, and customer interactions in AS400 and Excel tracking sheets.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively address and resolve order-related issues, including production delays, shipping discrepancies, and customer concerns.
  • Shipping & Logistics Support: Work with logistics teams to schedule and confirm shipments, provide customers with tracking information, and ensure timely deliveries.
  • System Utilization: Leverage CAMS AS400 for inventory tracking, production scheduling, and shipment updates to maintain a streamlined process.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance order management processes and improve overall customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or order management, ideally within the flooring or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with CAMS AS400 is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple orders and priorities simultaneously.
