Position Overview

Vital Motion Physical Therapy Network is seeking a dedicated and qualified Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Irvine, California. This role is integral to the enhancement of our residents' physical well-being and overall quality of life. The selected candidate will leverage their expertise to develop personalized treatment plans and implement therapeutic interventions that directly contribute to patient recovery and independence.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility, designed to create an inviting and therapeutic atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that enhances treatment efficacy and resident engagement. You will work in a collaborative setting, sharing insights and strategies with a multidisciplinary team devoted to outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents to assess their physical abilities, limitations, and specific treatment requirements.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment programs that aim to enhance residents' strength, mobility, and daily functioning.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, to address specific physical impairments.
  • Track and document residents' progress meticulously, modifying treatment plans based on their changing needs and reactions to therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to provide a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Educate residents and their families on effective home exercise programs and physical health strategies to promote ongoing well-being.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations as well as professional practice standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a geriatric population, which requires a compassionate approach and an understanding of age-related physical challenges. Our residents often seek rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions, making your role crucial in their recovery journey. Building strong relationships with residents while addressing their unique needs will be essential for successful outcomes.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of California.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Master's or Doctorate preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills essential for effective team collaboration and patient interaction.
  • The ability and willingness to adapt treatment strategies based on patient progress and feedback.
Preferred Experience
  • Professional experience in a skilled nursing environment or working specifically with the geriatric population is highly desirable.
  • A commitment to professional development, along with participation in continuing education opportunities.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and familiarity with therapy documentation systems.
