Job description

Role Summary
The Admissions Coordinator (Intake) supports timely, accurate outpatient admissions by coordinating referral intake, documentation, and payer readiness at Apollo Behavioral Health Hospital (Baton Rouge, LA 70816). Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage intake calls/referrals, complete inquiry documentation, and maintain intake logs
- Review referral packets against criteria and escalate questions appropriately
- Coordinate admission communication with physicians and the Director of Nursing
- Prepare new patient charts, face sheets, episodes of care, and insurance details
- Complete insurance verification once the physician accepts the patient
- Contribute intake metrics for QAPI reporting
Required qualifications/skills:
- 2-3 years psychiatric admissions experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Organized, self-directed, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong documentation accuracy and professional communication
