Are you a dedicated RN seeking a role where your skills and heart make a meaningful difference each day? We are seeking a Floor Nurse (RN) to provide high‑quality, resident‑centered care in our skilled nursing facility.

About the Role – Floor Nurse (RN)
As a Floor Nurse, you will ensure the well-being and safety of residents by administering medications and treatments, monitoring health status, and collaborating with the healthcare team to implement personalized care plans that promote optimal health and dignity.

Key Responsibilities – Floor Nurse (RN)

  • Follow individual service plans and administer or supervise treatments as prescribed by physicians.

  • Conduct meaningful rounds with all residents, accompany physicians during rounds, and document visits accurately.

  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, perform in‑house testing procedures, and record vital signs.

  • Document acute episodes or significant changes in resident status and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.

  • Receive and place calls to physicians, ensuring timely execution of orders.

  • Prepare, order, administer, and chart medications accurately and safely.

  • Supervise serving of prescribed diets and monitor fluid intake, reporting any unresolved issues to physicians or the Director of Nursing.

  • Complete admission assessments and discharge documentation timely and thoroughly.

  • Supervise residents who self‑administer medications in accordance with community and regulatory guidelines.

  • Assist residents with medication reminders and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services as needed.

  • Perform other nursing duties as assigned to support resident care and facility operations.

Qualifications – Floor Nurse (RN)

  • Current, active RN license in the state of employment.

  • Strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including medications, treatments, side effects, and infection control standards.

  • Familiarity with medical diagnoses, procedures, and treatment patterns relevant to skilled nursing care.

  • Ability to lift at least 51 lbs regularly and assist residents requiring physical support.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
