Girgis ENT is a well-established Otolaryngology (ENT) practice committed to providing comprehensive ear, nose, and throat care to patients of all ages. Our ENT practice offers Imaging, Allergy, Audiology and Sleep-related services. It's a fast paced environment but clearly desires to always do what's best for the patient. We are family-oriented and enjoy serving our patients to the best of our abilities.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team and help us deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. As a registered nurse, you will work along side each provider to assist with rooming patients, history intake, scribing during patient visits, cleaning and sanitizing rooms and an array of other clinical responsibilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Escorts patients to exam room, interviews patients to obtain a medical history, confirms present medications and allergies, measures vital signs, documents height and weight and enters into EMR.
  • Ensures that all related reports, labs and information are filed and are available in the patient's medical records prior to appointment.
  • Sets up exam rooms as needed.
  • Assists physicians and PA/NP in exam room
  • Documents in the EMR as directed by the provider
  • Escribes or prints prescriptions
  • Processes testing orders through Orders Management.
  • Prepares surgery/procedure requisitions
  • Completes paperwork or other requisitions, such as FMLA papers, surgery requisitions or school forms.
  • Documents appropriately in order's management and recall.
  • Provides patient education, verbal or written, as directed by provider.
  • Provides patient with their plan of care.
  • Keeps exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain a supply reorder list, and maintain medical instruments through cleaning and sterilization as required.
  • Triages telephone messages as needed
  • Communicates with providers and provides feedback and answers to patient, physician, pharmacy or hospital.
  • Processes messages from patients to designated departments, billing, sleep, CT, allergy, audiology.
  • Maintains all logs and performs required checks (i.e., cidex, scope leak testing, refrigeration, autoclave checks).
  • Follows โ€œuniversal precautionsโ€
  • Assist other departments as needed including allergy injections and testing, running mini CAT scans, completing mask fittings and set ups


Requirements:

Valid IL State RN License

BLS/CPR Certification

Physician office experience preferred
