Intact adjusters are professionals who work for Intact Insurance, one of Canada's leading insurance companies. They are responsible for investigating insurance claims, assessing damages, and determining the amount that should be paid to policyholders. Their work involves communicating with claimants, gathering evidence, and ensuring that claims are processed fairly and efficiently. Intact adjusters play a crucial role in helping customers recover from unexpected events such as accidents, property damage, or theft.

Professionals at Intact, like those in many large insurance companies, often face the challenge of balancing customer service expectations with detailed regulatory and policy requirements. New hires may also need to quickly adapt to evolving technologies and digital tools used for claims processing and risk assessment. Collaboration across various departments—such as underwriting, claims, and customer service—requires strong communication skills and adaptability. To prepare, candidates should familiarize themselves with basic insurance concepts, practice effective time management, and be proactive in seeking support from colleagues during the onboarding process.

To thrive as an Insurance Claims Adjuster at Intact, you need a solid understanding of insurance policies, investigative techniques, and claims processing, typically supported by a college diploma or relevant work experience. Familiarity with claims management software, digital documentation systems, and regulatory compliance platforms is crucial. Excellent negotiation, analytical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills help you resolve claims efficiently and empathetically. These skills ensure fair settlements, customer satisfaction, and the company's compliance with industry standards.
