The Ashley Hodapp Agency of Farmers Insurance in Elizabeth, CO is looking for an Insurance Sales Agent who genuinely enjoys helping people and is motivated to grow a local book of business in a close-knit community.

This is a full-time, employee position not a franchise or ownership opportunity. You'll join a community-focused agency serving clients across auto, home, life, and personal lines, with the support and training to build your career in insurance.

Responsibilities

Client Service & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients by phone, email, and in-office
  • Handle policy inquiries, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and coverage questions accurately and on time
  • Guide clients through the claims process and coordinate with adjusters and carriers as needed
  • Follow up proactively to ensure client satisfaction and identify any gaps in coverage

Sales Activity

  • Build new client relationships in the Elizabeth and surrounding communities
  • Cross-sell and round out existing accounts across auto, home, life, and umbrella lines
  • Present coverage options clearly and make recommendations tailored to each client's needs
  • Work toward individual production goals as part of the agency's overall growth


Policy & Compliance Administration

  • Maintain complete, accurate client records and policy documentation
  • Ensure all files meet regulatory and carrier compliance standards
  • Process applications, changes, and renewals efficiently within agency systems

Requirements

Required:

  • Active Colorado P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance license, or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Experience in customer service, sales, or a client-facing role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Life and health insurance license
  • Prior experience in insurance sales or with a Farmers Insurance agency
  • Familiarity with policy endorsements, renewals, and administration
