Job description

We're looking for compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistants who thrive in a fast-paced virtual environment and enjoy being the connection between patients and providers.
What You'll Do 

As a Remote Medical Assistant, you'll play an essential role in supporting our providers and ensuring patients receive a seamless telehealth experience. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Schedule patient appointments and provider consultations  
  • Assist patients with onboarding and navigating the telehealth platform  
  • Process patient inquiries through the EHR and patient portal  
  • Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance information, and intake documentation  
  • Prepare patient charts before provider appointments  
  • Coordinate prescriptions, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communications  
  • Review laboratory results and route information to providers as appropriate  
  • Follow up with patients after appointments to answer administrative questions and support care plan adherence  
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EHR system  
  • Escalate urgent clinical concerns to the supervising provider  
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

What We're Looking For 

Required Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or GED  
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare, medical office, clinical support, or administrative role  
  • Experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems  
  • Strong communication and customer service skills  
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment  
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting  
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection  
  • Private, distraction-free workspace suitable for HIPAA compliance  

Preferred Qualifications 

⭐ Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) 

⭐ Previous telehealth or virtual healthcare experience 

⭐ Experience supporting:

  • TRT/HRT  
  • Men's & Women's Health  

⭐ Experience with Healthie or other telehealth EHR platforms 

⭐ Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare documentation standards
