Underwriting Operations Technician
Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented and organized Underwriting Operations Technician to join a team. This role is integral to supporting an underwriting team by processing policies, endorsements, and quotes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement after an initial onsite training period.
Compensation Package
  • Salary Range: $40,000 - $58,000 annually

Responsibilities
  • Process policies, endorsements, and quotes to support the underwriting team.
  • Review applications and policy change requests for accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize internal systems and rating tools to rate new and renewal business.
  • Calculate premiums for new business, endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans.
  • Assist underwriters with quotes, renewals, and policy modifications.
  • Apply ISO, NCCI, and related manuals for rating and policy interpretation.
  • Maintain proficiency in company systems and underwriting tools.
  • Communicate with underwriting staff to resolve questions or discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely processing of policy transactions.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Prior experience in commercial property and casualty (P&C) insurance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with ISO and NCCI guidelines and regulations is a plus.
