Job Description
We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated entry level Underwriting professional to join our team. The position requires the person to:
  • Comprehend knowledge of our insurance products (coverages, rules, and rating) and book transfer procedures.
  • Regular travel throughout the assigned territory to call on agents to write and inspect business (as needed), prepare proposals, and coordinate policy insurance through our branch underwriting office.
  • Assist agents as needed with book transfer business.
  • Regular and predictable attendance in meeting a defined work schedule.
  • Make group presentations on Company products and services.
  • Assist with other duties in the department or elsewhere on request.
