Job description

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and e-learning training for:ย 
    • Employees (claims, underwriting, customer service, corporate functions)ย 
    • Independent agencies and producersย 
  • Translate complex insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and operational requirements into clear, actionable training content.ย 
  • Facilitate onboarding and role-based training for new hires and newly appointed agencies/producers.ย 
  • Support training related to new products, pricing changes, system implementations, and process updates.ย 
  • Design and administer agency training programs aligned with underwriting appetite, risk selection standards, and operational expectations.ย 
  • Track agency training completion and support documentation needed for regulatory exams, audits, and carrier oversight.ย 
  • Manage training assignments, completion tracking, and reporting within the LMS or agency training platform.ย 
  • Maintain training curricula, schedules, and documentation for internal and external audiences.ย 
  • Produce completion and effectiveness reports forย leadership, Compliance, and regulators.ย 
  • Collaborate with department leaders,ย Distribution, and Training leadershipย toย identifyย training needs and performance gaps.ย 
  • Recommend training solutions that reinforce consistent executionย and regulatory compliance.ย 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through targeted training interventions.ย 
  • Update training materials to reflect regulatory changes, underwriting updates, product changes, and system enhancements.ย 
  • Ensure consistency across employee and agency training content.ย 
  • Apply adult learning and instructional design best practices.ย 
  • Monitor the performance and progress of trainees during and after training, offering structured guidance and feedback.ย 
  • Collect feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation.ย 
  • Develop and create training aids, as needed.ย 
  • Stayย up to dateย with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related toย P&Cย insurance.ย 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.ย 

What you already have:

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree inย Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources,ย Insuranceย or related field.ย 
  • Minimumย 4ย years' experienceย supporting P&C insurance operations and/or agency distribution models.ย 
  • Minimumย 3ย years' experience inย training, learning & development, or operational instruction.ย ย 
  • Professional certificationsย in instructional design/adult learning or within the insurance industryย (e.g., CPCU, AIC) are a plus.ย 

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

  • Strongย facilitation and presentation skills.ย 
  • Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance principles, products, and operationsย 
  • Proficiencyย in using instructional design tools and e-learning platforms.ย 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.ย 
  • Analytical mindset to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.ย 
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and adjust training strategies accordingly.ย 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and individuals.ย 
  • Ability to think critically and objectively.ย 
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.ย
