Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is looking for our next Training Manager

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Technical Trainer, to support the NISSC 3 program in Colorado Springs. These positions will design, develop, and manage comprehensive training programs for product support and operational activities, including new systems and process rollouts.  The Training Manager will coordinate closely with program leadership and functional teams to ensure training is current, contract-compliant, and effectively delivered to all target audiences. 


  • Instructors annually.
  • Design and develop comprehensive training materials, training plans, and training aids to support product support, operational activities, and new system/process rollouts.
  • Owns the End-to-end Training Capability across the program life cycle routinely ensuring alignment with mission objectives, system evolution and operational readiness
  • Evaluate training needs across stakeholder groups, identify gaps, and recommend updates or new training solutions to support mission readiness.
  • Update existing training content to reflect system changes, process updates, and new contractual or regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule training delivery to target audiences, ensuring appropriate resources, facilities, and tools are in place.
  •  Prepare and deliver training documentation in accordance with contract requirements, data item descriptions, and applicable standards.
  • Conduct classroom, virtual, and/or on-the-job training sessions as required; collect feedback and adjust content and methods to improve effectiveness.
  • Support the development and maintenance of training records, matrices, and completion reports for internal and customer reporting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, system engineers, and operational leads to ensure training content is technically accurate and aligned with current system capabilities.
  • For the Training Manager role, provide leadership and oversight of the training program, including planning, prioritization, and coordination of training activities across the NISSC program.
  • Provide direct Training Support to Norad-North Comm JQS Training Division
  • Candidate will initiate training sessions and events supporting N-NC and provide training to Government

  • At least 7-10 years of related work experience
  • Experience designing and developing training materials, plans, and aids for technical, operational, or product support environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate training needs, update existing content to reflect system and process changes, and coordinate training delivery to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in project management methods to plan, track, and report training activities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Space Force (or Air Force) onboarding and clearance processes.
  • Prior transition experience supporting program stand-up, transition-in, or similar efforts is strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, effective training and documentation.
  • BA/BS in a related field (e.g., Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Management, Information Systems, or similar) - OR High School Diploma/GED plus 6 additional years of directly related training, instructional design, or program support experience (in lieu of degree).
  • Minimum: Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI. 
  • Training, instructional design, or project management certifications are desirable but not required.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $96,800.00/Yr. - USD $161,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
