Job description


Job Summary:

The Production Operator - Entry assembles American Battery Solutions (ABS) battery pack systems by following all safety requirements, work instructions, and quality standards. This role supports efficient production by reducing waste, maintaining equipment and work areas, and contributing to continuous improvement activities. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble products to customer requirements and company goals.
  • Complete all required safety training and consistently comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Learn takt and cycle time, throughput expectations, and standard work for each assigned operation.
  • Follow all work instructions, standard operating procedures Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and documented processes for assigned tasks or stations.
  • Reduce rework and scrap over time through improved understanding of quality requirements.
  • Participate in safety activities (e.g., safety observations, GEMBA walks) and contribute ideas for improving 6S or ergonomics. 
  • Support weekend and off shift work as required.
  • Adhere to federal and state regulations.
  • Adhere to all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. 
  • Predictable and reliable attendance.


Position Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic problem-solving capabilities for troubleshooting issues in the production environment.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand process changes, updates, and related work instructions within work areas.
