The Technical Project Specialist will be responsible for assisting in proactively assessing future risks of each project to the Operations team and communicating those with the OSC Team. The position will report to the Technical Lead.

• Review and finalize plans and maintain active day‑to‑day involvement with the OSC Team, ensuring trade‑specific PreCon onsite meeting agendas are provided to Site Construction Managers to ensure plan adherence.
• Track and resolve construction issues from field tickets in a timely and complete manner.
• Lead execution risk assessment and develop PlanB’s.
• Ensure the de‑risking process is complete with all necessary RFI’s/ASI’s resolved promptly, maintaining at least 30 days of clear runway without RFI delays.
• Monitor the dashboard daily for trends impacting the plan, diagnose root causes, and direct OSC resource support and realignment on subcontractor performance.
• Communicate OSC support of wet‑weather mitigation pre‑planning efforts and implementation.
• Utilize digital technology to review technology information captures and solve technical issues affecting the project.
• Track and ensure the Day‑1 Startup checklist is completed on NTP day.
• Complete submittal and shop drawing approvals.
• Create and manage a project‑specific submittal log; review and compare submittals, samples, and shop drawings to specifications, clarifications, and drawings.
• Upload and track submittals, samples, and shop drawings to Procore; ensure they are reviewed within the contracted consultant response time.
• Assign appropriate consultants to each submittal; review responses and ensure trade partners are aware of any comments.
• Manage the RFI process: maintain an urgency log daily, ensure consultants work on correct priorities, draft and submit RFI's with Operations, and distribute RFI's to the correct subs.
• Inform the Commercial Lead of RFI's with potential cost implications.
• Ensure that project turnover phasing and sequencing are approved by the jurisdiction; reschedule as necessary to accommodate AHJ requirements.
• Align Fire inspector startup requirements with phasing and OPC plan.
• Contract 3rd‑party consultants with appropriate inspection types and frequencies per the plan minimum or JPI standard, whichever is greater.
• Usher AHJ through 3rd‑party inspection adoption (e.g., BV or similar).
• Ensure submittals are reviewed and approved for installation per plan.
• Support CO review process by coordinating with the Site Construction Manager to verify change order work is valid and managing change order disputes.
• Represent and advocate JPI’s culture and guiding principles; maintain 5‑day (Monday‑Friday) physical co‑location and daily collaboration with the OSC team.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a business or professional setting (including non‑profit or government roles).
• Proven experience in an executive support role or a similar position.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
