JOB OVERVIEW:
The Insurance Technical Assistant for the Financial Services Team should be a detail-oriented team player with the ability to multitask and have excellent customer service skills.
LOCATION: HYBRID - New York City (3 days per week in office)
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
Responsibilities and Duties
Service of all aspects of the placement process utilizing the firm's agency management system
โ€ข Imputing submissions into Sagitta, agency management system
โ€ข Send out renewal solicitations 120 days in advance with corresponding applications
โ€ข Following up on renewal submissions, subjectivities and policies
โ€ข Generate certificates of Insurance upon request
โ€ข Filing using Image Right, our electronic filing system in accordance with company standards
โ€ข Demonstrate familiarity with quote letters and binders from various carriers
โ€ข Following up on all inquiries
Billing:
โ€ข Basic invoicing responsibilities - invoicing through Sagitta
โ€ข Capturing data for analytics and reporting
โ€ข Handling return premiums, extensions, corrections, cancellations, AP and RPs
โ€ข Interface with accounting for premium and revenue payments.
Issue Policies:
โ€ข Manage the issuance of policies
โ€ข Following up on any outstanding subjectivities needed to issue the policy
Manage Surplus Lines filing and documentation:
โ€ข Complete Surplus Lines Diligences per state and line of business
โ€ข Ensure all necessary documentation for surplus lines filings is sent out and filed
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
โ€ข Willing to hire a college graduate with a Risk Management Degree or needs 1 year plus Insurance brokerage experience
โ€ข Bachelor's degree
โ€ข Proficient in MS suite of products
โ€ข Property & Casualty Insurance License (or willing to get one once hired).
COMPENSATION:
The hourly pay range for this position is $31.25 - $36.06 per hour and standard workweeks are 40 hours. This range represents the employer's good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting.
Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
