Personal Lines Account Manager

Location: Middleton, MA Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000 base salary depending on experience

A respected independent insurance agency on the North Shore is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Account Manager to join its team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and brings strong technical personal lines knowledge along with a proactive client service mindset.

The agency offers a stable book of business, strong carrier relationships, and the opportunity to earn additional commission income through account rounding and personal production.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a personal lines book of business including auto, home, umbrella, condo, renters, and related policies
  • Handle renewals, endorsements, cancellations, billing inquiries, coverage reviews, and policy changes
  • Market and remarket accounts when appropriate to ensure competitive coverage and pricing
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carrier partners
  • Identify cross-sell and account rounding opportunities within existing accounts
  • Process new business submissions and renewal documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed documentation within the agency management system
  • Collaborate with producers and internal staff to support retention and client satisfaction goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of personal lines insurance experience required
  • Massachusetts Property & Casualty license preferred
  • Experience with AMS360 preferred
  • Strong understanding of personal lines coverage and carrier underwriting guidelines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Incentives

  • Base salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 depending on experience
  • Commission opportunities including:
    • House account rounding: 50% first-year commission
    • Personal business production: 50% first-year commission and 25% renewal commission
