Responsibilities

Closely reviews lender instructions

Closely review the purchase agreement and title commitment

Determines escrow requirements by verifying buyer, seller, and lender instructions including calling on water, taxes and special assessments

Familiar with state city specific requirements

Completes calculations by prorating taxes and terms of the purchase agreement

Obtains clear title by resolving title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principles

Familiar with seller concessions and has the ability to work through a file to obtain funding from lender.

Schedules closings by reviewing title commitment to ensure file is clear to close

Prepares transaction documents by completing forms and statements; collecting and reviewing existing documents

Respond to inquiries from customers, attorneys, agents and brokers

Provides support to the Escrow Department


Requirements

Knowledge of the title software is desired.

Understanding of basic computer programs (Microsoft Office)

Currently working in the title processing industry or mortgage/real estate experience

Detail oriented and professional, able to handle confidential information

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Financial and documentation skills: presenting real estate and lender documents for closings

Must have excellent (customer service) skills at all levels within and outside of the organization

Certification in title processing or real estate

Knowledge of real estate industry regulations and procedures

Minimum of 5 years' experience in title processing

Salary commensurate with experience
