Job description

What you will be doing
  • Design system enhancements and business process changes geared to drive best practices that improve efficiency of staff, accuracy of results, and usefulness of data.
  • Critically evaluate business requirements, providing alternative solutions where applicable.
  • Work in conjunction with outside vendors in a shared development environment.
  • Work with Application Support, QA, and development to support application issues, changes and modifications.
  • Proactively identify ways in which system and process changes can improve efficiency of key users, customer service, accuracy of results, and/or completeness of data.
  • Act as a change agent to help ensure that the newly implemented system/process enhances the success of the project and increases the project’s chance of meeting the business needs.
  • Provide updates and feedback to manager on progress of development.
  • Provide details to project manager and project team regarding updates, schedules and issues.
  • Deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations that are effectively tailored to the intended audience.
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
Teamwork
  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate each team member’s contributions.
  • Work with others from different organizations from several.
Decision making authority
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment to meet deadlines and prioritize projects and tasks.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, but, when necessary, consult with the senior management of IT and lines of business for direction and/or clarity.
  • Works closely with internal users, IT Development Resources, IT and Business Line of Business Management.
  • The Developer must be able to perform job functions with minimal oversight from management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 3+ additional years of experience would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree.
  • 3+ years of related work experience in .NET web application development and/or Microsoft Dynamics development using Plugins, Power Automate, JavaScript, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills are essential. Individual must be comfortable working with a variety of user groups at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking to analyze problems, document needs and communicate these needs to a variety of audiences.
  • The individual must have a proven ability to understand business requirements in a variety of functional areas and the flexibility to adapt to new and changing information.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage many competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a virtual collaborative environment.
  • Experience developing in Dynamics 365 using configuration, customizations, JavaScript, Plugins, PowerAutomate is required.
  • ASP.NET MVC framework experience is preferred.
  • Well versed in writing clean HTML, CSS, JavaScript; jQuery experience is a plus.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft SQL Server; writing optimized SQL and following best practices for relational databases.
  • Entity Framework experience is a plus.
  • Experience with maintaining and improving an existing codebase, focusing on performance, scalability and user experience.
  • Experience supporting Dynamics-based applications in L2/L3 support capacity preferred.
  • Familiar with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • The individual must have a strong customer service philosophy and skills; thrive in a team environment as well as in an individual setting; demonstrate organization, attention to detail and follow-up skills; willingness to take on new projects; be a self-starter, motivated, results-driven and goal-oriented, comfortable setting aggressive goals and exceeding them.

The annual salary for this position is between $113,000 - $141,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
