Software Developer In Test - Back Office Systems

Cartera Commerce is based in Lexington, Massachusetts.
About the position:
Cartera's platform handles millions of page views by members of our rewards programs. As a key member of the Quality Engineering Team, the Back Office (BOSS)QA Engineer will collaborate with software developers, operations engineers and project managers to understand client requirements and develop the test approach for verification of sites and data.With guidance from QE technical leads, your primary role will be to define, develop, and execute test suites in support of the Cartera's solutions during our mission-critical pre-holiday shopping period.You will also be supporting and executing automation for the test suites to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and coverage over time.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with QA/Dev leads to understand test approach for Back Office systems
  • Work with QA Leads on how to design, develop, and execute manual and automated test suites
  • Assist with production releases of BOSS features, fixes and enhancements
  • Collaborate with QA and development colleagues to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage of testing processes
  • Participate in test plan design and execution for release candidates
  • Standing up & supporting various testing environments

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Someworking background withdata and/or financial processing systems
  • Some experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with open source QA tools and techniques, bug tracking systems
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working in mixed Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience in at least one programming or scripting language (Java, PHP, Python, Selenium)
    Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Selenium/Webdriver
  • Robot framework
  • Experience with e-commerce applications
  • Experience with mobile and responsive applications
  • Understanding of data concepts and experience with large, complex data sets
