Position Type: Full-Time, Executive About the Role We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a leading investigative solutions firm serving insurance carriers, TPAs, and employers in the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) space. This is a newly created executive role responsible for owning, leading, and building operational infrastructure to support current and future strategies, including bridging acquisitions, standardizing processes across multiple entities, and enhancing service delivery. Role Summary The COO will be a strategic and operational leader, accountable for scaling operations, improving efficiencies, and ensuring exceptional client service.

This position will work closely with the executive team to align operational strategy with growth objectives and long-term business goals. Key Responsibilities Lead operational strategy execution, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives.Oversee integration of newly acquired companies, fostering culture alignment and operational consistency.Manage and optimize operational functions, including investigative processes, client service, compliance, and technology systems.Build scalable systems to support growth across carriers, TPAs, and employer clients.Partner with CEO and executive team to identify operational efficiencies, KPI frameworks, and performance metrics.Foster a high-performance culture that balances accountability with engagement and retention.Serve as a bridge between operations, sales, and client service teams to ensure seamless execution of SIU-focused solutions.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.Ideal Candidate Profile Proven COO/VP of Operations experience in investigative services, insurance SIU, or related industries.Strong understanding of the insurance landscape, including carriers, TPAs, and employer clients.Experience leading operations in a private equity-backed or growth-oriented company and integrating multiple acquisitions.Demonstrated ability to scale operations while maintaining quality and compliance standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and people-management skills, with a focus on culture building.Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capabilities; comfortable “getting in the trenches” when needed.Qualifications 10+ years in operations leadership, preferably in investigative, insurance, or risk management sectors.Track record of successful integration of acquired companies and operational optimization.Experience with technology-enabled operational systems and process improvement frameworks.Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.Opportunities & Challenges Lead the organization through its next phase of growth while integrating acquisitions.Shape the operational backbone of a high-performing investigative services platform.Influence long-term strategy and deliver measurable ROI to stakeholders.   Salary: $map.get("vacancy_salary-text").
