ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Eric Ortego - State Farm Agent is seeking an energetic and personable Sales & Marketing Intern to help support our agency's growth through proactive customer outreach. This internship is ideal for a college student interested in sales, marketing, communications, business, or the insurance industry who wants to gain real-world experience in relationship building and professional communication.
In this role, you'll connect with prospective and existing customers, schedule appointments for our licensed team, qualify leads, and help keep our sales pipeline active. You'll receive hands-on coaching in customer conversations, sales fundamentals, and business development while working alongside an experienced insurance team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to introduce agency services and generate interest.
  • Qualify leads by gathering basic information and identifying potential insurance needs.
  • Schedule appointments for licensed team members with qualified prospects.
  • Follow up with leads through phone calls, text messages, and email when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate notes and update customer information within our CRM.
  • Assist with additional office projects and administrative tasks as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursuing or interested in Business, Marketing, Communications, Sales, Insurance, Financial Services, or a related field.
  • Comfortable speaking with people over the phone and initiating conversations.
