Personal Lines Account Manager

Position Summary:

The primary function of this role is to deliver exceptional service to clients by managing all aspects of personal insurance accounts. This role serves as the primary point of contact for policy servicing, coverage education, and issue resolution. The Account Manager works closely with producers, underwriters, and carriers to ensure each client’s needs are met with professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail. This position supports the agency’s goals for client satisfaction, retention, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned personal lines accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing responsive, professional, and personalized service.
  • Proactively review client coverage and identify opportunities for account rounding, coverage enhancements, and risk management recommendations.
  • Educate clients on available insurance products, policy features, and coverage options to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Resolve client questions and service issues promptly while delivering exceptional customer experience.

Policy Administration and Account Servicing

  • Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, billing inquiries, and certificate requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare renewal proposals and review coverage changes with clients prior to renewal.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, process policy transactions, and resolve underwriting or service-related issues.
  • Maintain complete and accurate client records within the agency management system.
  • Ensure all client communications, policy documentation, and activities are properly documented and compliant with agency standards.

Collaboration and Operational Support

  • Partner with producers to support new business opportunities, account retention efforts, and client service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carrier representatives to secure appropriate coverage solutions for clients.
  • Maintain knowledge of carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and industry trends.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple service requests while meeting established deadlines and service standards.
  • Participate in agency training, process improvement initiatives, and team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 3 years of personal lines account management or insurance customer service experience
  • Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty license required
  • Working knowledge of agency management systems, preferably Applied Epic or AMS360
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, document management software, and carrier proprietary platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm EST (3 days), 9:00am-6:00pm EST (2 days), and one rotating Saturday per month, 9:00am-1:00pm EST
