Job description

The County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP) is seeking an accomplished executive to serve as Managing Director of Insurance Programs, leading one of the Association's largest and most influential member service areas.

CCAP's member-owned Insurance Programs provide insurance, risk management, loss prevention, and claims support designed specifically for county government. The next Managing Director will inherit strong programs, an experienced team, and committed governing boards while helping position the programs for continued success.

As Managing Director, you will:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for CCAP's insurance and risk management programs.

  • Lead and support an experienced team of approximately 35 professionals.

  • Build strong relationships with county leaders, governing boards, vendors, and strategic partners.

  • Help ensure the long-term financial and operational strength of the Insurance Programs.

  • Serve on CCAP's senior leadership team and contribute to Association-wide priorities.

The Leader We're Looking For

CCAP is looking for a collaborative, credible executive who combines leadership judgment with knowledge of insurance and risk management. Candidates should bring:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, finance, risk management, insurance, or a closely related field.

  • Significant executive or senior management experience.

  • Experience in insurance, risk pools, claims, risk management, association management, governmental organizations, or a related field is strongly preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Ability and willingness to reside within approximately one hour of CCAP's Harrisburg office.
