We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position ofCorporate Insurance Risk Manager based inDallas, TX.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Manage the procurement of the company's insurance coverages, including but not limited to primary and excess Third Party Liability, Property, and Marine coverages.
  • Manage the relationship with insurance brokers, insurers, third party claims administrators, and other Risk Management vendors.
  • Review the insurance requirements in contracts and other agreements as needed.
  • Manage Risk Management department internal procedures.
  • Tender new claims and assist in the management of existing claims.
  • Prepare documentation for reimbursement of settlements and claim expenses and collect due payments from insurers.
  • Manage the accounting, recordkeeping and reporting of Risk Management costs and expenses.
  • Manage the preparation of annual underwriting submissions.
  • Manage the preparation, distribution, and tracking of financial responsibility documents.
  • Compile the Risk Management department's annual report.
  • Review insurance policies and other Risk Management contracts.
  • Support general Risk Management services for the company and its affiliates and subsidiaries (i.e. oral presentations to Oxy operations, written reports to management, etc.).
  • Provide support for special projects (i.e. acquisitions, divestitures, RFP's, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in property and casualty insurance (e.g. underwriting, broking and/or risk management). Experience in a Risk Management department highly preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and strong computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for actions and outcomes, performance and results.
  • Associate in Risk Management (ARM) required.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Risk Manager (CRM), RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) or Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
  • Energy industry Risk Management experience.
