We are looking for you, Risk Analyst, Middle Office, to join our Middle office team in Houston.
You will be a part of the global team of risk management experts, covering the core market risks Neste is exposed to. Together with you and your expertise, we can make an impact today and keep our promises for tomorrow.
You will work closely with commercial and hedging teams to support their decision making by following market risk exposures, calculating financial impacts, and ensuring market risk compliance. You will also have an important role by ensuring correct internal practices and controls are followed.

Your role in our team you will:
  • Bring to the Houston team 1-2 years of experience from Commodity sector, either directly from risk management or closely related field (operations etc)
  • Report risk exposures and P&L numbers related to our core refining hedging and trading activities
  • Support in feedstock and product trading related risk reporting activities
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like commercial teams, operations and business finance and support them in risk identification, trade entry flow and hedging activities
  • Ensure trade entry capture and other internal processes are well followed by front offices
  • Work closely with other middle office teams globally to keep improving and simplifying internal processes and reporting automation

The best combination to succeed in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics, engineering, math/physics or related field
  • Previous experience from working with commodity sector, for example from middle office or operations
  • Strong collaboration skills, hard work ethic and willingness to learn more about commodity sector
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy markets including RIN & LCFS and financial derivatives

Other strengths we value
  • Solid IT skills, especially with PBI and MS environment
  • Previous experience from Allegro or SAP is considered to be an asset
