An Insurance Risk Consultant helps businesses and individuals identify, assess, and manage potential risks that could impact their financial wellbeing or operations. They analyze clients' current insurance policies, evaluate exposures to various risks, and recommend strategies to reduce or transfer those risks through insurance products or risk mitigation techniques. Their goal is to ensure clients have the appropriate coverage and risk management strategies in place. Insurance Risk Consultants often work with companies across various industries, providing expert advice on compliance, claims management, and loss prevention.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an insurance risk consultant?

To thrive as an Insurance Risk Consultant, you need a strong background in risk assessment, analytical thinking, and a relevant degree such as finance, business, or actuarial science. Familiarity with risk modeling software, data analysis tools, and industry certifications like ARM (Associate in Risk Management) is typically required. Commercial Lines Sales Executive (Producer)
Position Overview
World’s Producers are responsible for building relationships, generating new business, and closing commercial insurance opportunities with organizations of all sizes. Leveraging World’s expansive platform, you’ll help clients manage risk through customized property and casualty solutions while uncovering opportunities to deliver additional value through employee benefits, personal insurance, retirement plans, payroll, and HR solutions.
This is an entrepreneurial sales role for professionals who thrive on prospecting, building executive-level relationships, and winning new business. In addition to developing expertise in commercial insurance solutions, Producers are expected to build specialization in one or more industry verticals, enabling them to provide deeper insights, understand industry-specific challenges, and deliver tailored solutions to their clients.  With access to industry-leading resources, market expertise, and a broad portfolio of solutions, you'll have the opportunity to grow a substantial book of business, maximize your earning potential, and make a meaningful impact on your clients’ organizations.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business opportunities with an emphasis on commercial accounts.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to move prospects through the sales pipeline and close business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HubSpot and fully leverage the platform to manage opportunities and client relationships.
  • Deliver comprehensive risk management solutions by utilizing World’s broad portfolio of services.
  • Build long-term client relationships by identifying cross-selling opportunities and introducing additional solutions that support clients’ evolving business and personal needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client challenges and coordinating internal resources to develop customized solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in business development, consultative sales, and delivering value-driven solutions.
  • Strong prospecting, relationship management, presentation, negotiation, and client engagement skills, with a track record of developing and closing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling client presentations, proposals, and pitch decks tailored to client needs.
  • Experience utilizing CRM platforms, preferably HubSpot, and insurance agency management systems such as AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar tools.
  • Experience working within an insurance brokerage environment and selling commercial insurance and/or employee benefits solutions is highly valued.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required insurance licenses and regulatory requirements necessary to perform the responsibilities of the role.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional with the ability to manage complex sales cycles and cultivate long-term client relationships.
  • Willingness to leverage World’s broad platform and collaborate with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive solutions that support clients’ evolving insurance, risk management, employee benefits, retirement and financial service needs.

Compensation & Benefits
At World Insurance, we believe high performance should be rewarded. As a Producer, you'll receive a competitive compensation package that includes a base salary, commission opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits program. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, as well as a 401(k) plan with immediate vesting.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $200,000+, determined by factors including geographic location, relevant experience, demonstrated sales success, and the ability to generate new business revenue. As you build your book of business, expand client relationships, and drive revenue growth, your earning potential can increase significantly, with the opportunity to exceed the stated salary range.
