Job Description
The Relationship Manager - Exchange Coordinator - Supports the Chicago Deferred Exchange Company ("CDEC"), a national Qualified Intermediary helping investors facilitate IRC Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges .
This individual is responsible for working with clients on IRC 1031 - Tax deferred exchanges. This position will manage documentation and client relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals including attorneys and brokers to generate potential business referrals. Works well independently as part of a small but mighty team of professionals who work well together to provide excellent service to our clients. We look forward to adding a diligent, hard-working team player to our group.
What You'll Do:
  • Work directly with clients on IRC Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges and manage a portfolio of transactions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys and centers of influence for business referrals.
  • Process incoming and outgoing wires for 1031 transactions
  • Coordinate with operations department to confirm transactions are applied appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Provides clear verbal and written communications for interactions with clients, lawyers, and referral sources.
  • Manage, prepare and review exchange documents
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting
  • 3-5 years working in title, escrow, or real estate are required
  • Specific knowledge of IRC Section 1031 is preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability establishing client relationships and working within a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to proactively manage and prioritize workflow
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products.

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $71,000 - $92,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
