Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in complex manufacturing and defense-related construction. The ideal candidate will have direct experience supporting highly regulated industrial program environments. This role requires a deep understanding of the operational, security, and quality standards unique to defense manufacturing facilities.

 Do you thrive running a project team by driving the growth and development of project team members?  Do you love developing critical relationships with internal and external clients?   In this position, you will lead a team responsible for numerous construction management-related tasks, including project execution, financial management, and delivering projects the Shawmut way while achieving financial control and profit goals for each project.
  • Proven experience in complex manufacturing and/or defense-related construction projects

  • Direct experience with highly regulated programs strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success delivering design-build projects ranging from approximately 50,000 to 500,000 square feet

  • Experience managing all phases of preconstruction and construction, including cost modeling, scope development, and GMP execution

  • Experience in developing RFPs and leading proposal efforts is a plus, along with the ability to manage and coordinate design consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project. This includes maintaining accountability across design disciplines, driving timely deliverables, and ensuring that design progression supports procurement and construction milestones.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Shawmut financial processes, controls, and reports, i.e., internal budgets, costs to complete, billings, collections, subcontractor payments, change order preparation and resolution, contracts, etc.

  • Develop, nurture, and maintain ongoing client, architect, subcontractor, and industry (landlords, brokers, etc) relationships at the appropriate level, reinforcing Shawmut's dedication to continuously addressing their needs and interests.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in construction project management as a general contractor
  • 3-5 years of experience managing large complex projects, especially in Defense, Light, and Manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, with the ability to develop, analyze, and maintain detailed project schedules
  • Extensive experience maintaining project budgets and schedules
  • Direct responsibility of leading and developing staff

Salary Range Information

Rhode Island Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $200,000 The range stated is specific to New England Placement. The range listed depends on many factors, including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction & Field roles), and internal company equity.
