Job Title: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day project leadership and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, including: Data Management, Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, Medical Writing and Regulatory Publishing
• Serve as the primary liaison between the client, internal teams, CROs, and vendors.
• Manage multiple clinical data projects across diverse therapeutic areas while ensuring adherence to quality, budget, scope, and timelines.
• Coordinate with external vendors, specialty laboratories, and service providers for Vendor Oversight and Performance Management
• Provide operational and strategic leadership for assigned clinical data projects.
• Monitor project metrics, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure consistent application of data management processes and documentation across studies.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, governance reviews, study status meetings, risk assessments, lessons learned sessions, and stakeholder communications.
• Lead project meetings and represent Data Services in sponsor and cross-functional forums.
• Communicate study progress, data trends, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance with GCP, regulatory requirements, and company SOPs.
• Coordinate with functional leads to optimize team performance and resource utilization.
• Monitor study budgets and resource utilization to ensure delivery within approved scope and financial targets.
• Build and maintain strong sponsor/client relationships to support successful study delivery and long-term business partnerships

Qualifications

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or international equivalent in Life Sciences
• 5+ years of experience in data services (Data Management, Biostatistics and Statistical Programming), including project leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial processes, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working directly with sponsors in a client-facing environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, budgets, and risks.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with EDC systems (Medidata) and clinical data management technologies.
• Understanding of clinical data standards and submission requirements, including:
  • CDISC SDTM / ADaM
  • Define.xml / Reviewer Guides
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects
• Ability to lead and coordinate small teams

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Providence, RI.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
