Description
We are looking for a Roadway Design Project Manager with the opportunity to work on signature projects and mentor and lead junior design staff. HMB is part of a transportation family ranked #14 in the country with unlimited growth potential. We have national capabilities but maintain a local feel.

Opportunities available in Frankfort, Lexington, and Louisville
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading and mentorship of junior staff while managing the completion of multiple roadway design tasks
  • Coordination with Project Managers to meet schedule and budget requirements
  • Opportunity to be mentored and ultimately take on responsibilities as a Project Manager
  • Preparation of accurate presentation, design, details and construction documents.
  • Preparation of permit applications and submittal packages to Agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Coordination with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, utility providers, contractors and other parties associated with the project.
  • Development and adherence to project scope, schedules, and budgets.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • A minimum of 6 years experience in all technical aspects of roadway design
  • Experience in people management or supervision
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer preferred
  • PE Certification is preferred
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong technical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing and standard industry software.
  • Works well in multidisciplinary team environments and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral presentation and written communication skills
