Job description

AAA Club Alliance is currently seeking a IT Infrastructure & Operations Project Manager to join our company here at our Wilmington, DE headquarters.

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site work three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).

The primary duties of the IT Infrastructure & Operations Project Manager are to:

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional partnerships to drive project success.

  • Serve as project leader and primary contact for low-medium complexity initiatives, applying PMI best practices (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).

  • Communicate clear, consistent project updates, including risks, roadblocks, and solutions, to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Evaluate and support business cases for new projects (scope, timeline, budget, RACI, SWOT, etc.) and secure required approvals to initiate work.

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and communications to align expectations.

  • Ensure delivery of project goals on time and within agreed scope and expectations set during planning.

  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement through regular meetings, updates, and delegation of tasks to maintain alignment and momentum.

  • Maintain and track risks, issues, and changes using formal logs; escalate when needed.

  • Present project status updates to senior and executive leadership (written and verbal).

  • Obtain formal project sign-off from sponsors and owners upon completion.

  • Lead lessons-learned sessions and share insights to drive continuous improvement.

  • Mentor and model best practices in project delivery to support team development and organizational understanding of PM value.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field required. Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Must have experience with Project Management in IT, Insurance, Automotive, Commercial, and Retail Fit-Out.

  • Minimum 5 years of high complexity project management experience in Business, IT or Retail/Commercial project management required.

  • Agile Project Management Certification(s) and/or Scrum Certification(s) strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of standard project management practices and methodologies included in the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

  • Strong project management skills required, including the ability to manage time, budget, communication, procurement, change, and risk.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a project team and take accountability for project outcomes.

  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple complex projects in various departments simultaneously in an organized and professional manner.

  • Knowledge and experience using project management software such as Clarity PPM and Microsoft Project is required.

  • Experience using one or more Agile project management tools such as Jira preferred.

  • Familiarity with Visio is preferred.
