Job description

Description

Dr. Delphinium is seeking a Processing Associate to join our team in Dallas, TX. Our work is guided by Connection, Celebration, Ownership, Drive, Integrity, and Creativity - values that shape how we care for our products, our people, and our craft. This vital role supports our floral operations by maintaining the flower cooler and processing department, ensuring product quality, and providing timely, well-prepared floral inventory for our design teams.

As a Processing Associate, you'll play an essential part in keeping our workflow moving efficiently behind the scenes. You'll help receive, process, and organize fresh flowers, maintain cleanliness and organization in the cooler, and support consistent quality standards throughout the day. This role is well-suited for someone who is organized, dependable, and energized by hands-on work in a fast-paced environment - especially someone who takes pride in setting others up for success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately identify and manage all floral varieties stocked in the floral cooler.
  • Receive, unpack, cut, hydrate, and process incoming flower shipments daily.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of flowers stored in the coolers.
  • Pick and prepare floral products efficiently for the design team and deliveries.
  • Keep the processing area and flower cooler clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • A strong service mentality - personable, professional, and motivated to support internal teams.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and adaptable to changing needs.
  • Able to remain calm and tactful under pressure.
  • Comfortable forming positive working relationships across departments.
  • Able to recognize and proactively complete additional tasks as needed.
  • Physically capable of working in a cooler (approx. 32F) for extended periods.
  • Flexible availability including Saturday.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Valid Driver's License (CDL not required).
  • Clean driving record with no DUIs or DWIs (must meet insurance requirements).
  • Ability to drive cargo vans and box trucks safely.
  • Tobacco-free workplace; adherence to company policy required during working hours
  • Must pass a drug test and background check.
