Position SummaryThe Loan Servicing Operations Specialist is responsible for providing outstanding support to the Loan Servicing Operations Department with emphasis in but not limited to processing Loan Payments, exceptions and corrections, and Automatic Loan Payment requests. They will also conduct any necessary research including questions about the posting and what happened to the payment in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures.Why Fremont Bank?

Key Responsibilities
  • Complies with established operational, compliance, and quality standards while consistently meeting defined service level expectations
  • Maintain suspense accounts and follow up to ensure timely resolution and proper application
  • Process payment changes, recurring payment setups, stops, returns (NSF), and reapplications
  • Research and resolve payment posting discrepancies, unapplied funds, reversals, and adjustments
  • Resolve and reconcile credit balances
  • Partner with branch staff and call center to resolve payment issues and support customer needs
  • Review fee waiver requests, check if correct approvals are there or if not get them, then process fee waiver requests
  • Perform careful and timely review of various Mortgage Servicingย Platform reports to ensure system integrity
  • Cross-train on related loan servicing functions as needed in a small team environment
  • Perform other duties and project as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of experience in loan servicing, loan operations, or payment processing in a financial institution preferred
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to independently create, maintain, and analyze spreadsheets using logical formulas, lookup functions, data organization tools, and basic visualizations to support routine reporting and decision making
