Job Title: Litigation Paralegal
HQ Location: Parsippany, NJ
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite/2 days WFH)

Experience Level: Mid-Level (Minimum 4 years)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience assisting attorneys with corporate and business litigation, with a strong preference to work collaboratively as a “business partner” and not just an admin. As a Litigation Paralegal at Firm X you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, collaborate with talented colleagues, and make a meaningful impact on our clients’ legal needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Support M&A Litigation, IP Litigation, Commercial Real Estate, Labor & Employment, and General Corporate Litigation, and investigations
  • Conduct thorough legal research using online databases and legal resources to support case preparation
  • Draft legal documents such as complaints, pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements, including TOCs and TOAs, redlining, memos, and bates labeling docs
  • Assist with the preparation and management of discovery in eDiscovery platforms, including interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and depositions
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trial by organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and compiling trial materials & witness preparation, direct examination, cross-examination binders/folders for depositions and trial
  • Research statutes, regulations, and case law to support litigation strategies and arguments
  • Draft & e-file necessary documents with various state and federal courts
  • Light management of attorneys’ calendar, including scheduling hearings, trials, and conferences
  • Accurate and thorough digital document management and retention
  • Efficient prioritization of tasks when working with multiple attorneys and administrative support personnel
  • Accurate review of all notices received/motions that come in, accurate follow-up on all tasks
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or related field preferred
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program – preferred but not required
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Minimum of 4 years of Paralegal experience at a reputable law firm
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
