The Karim Merchant Agency's Protg Mentorship Program is designed for experienced, licensed insurance professionals who are ready to take the next step to further their insurance career. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an accomplished agency owner in a structured, mentorship-driven environment that prepares you for the responsibilities of leading and growing your own business.

Over the course of six months or less, you'll gain hands-on experience in advanced sales, business development, leadership, agency operations, and client relationship management while receiving the coaching and accountability needed to succeed as a future agency owner. Responsibilities
  • Generate new business through a mix of agency-provided leads, referrals, networking, and outbound prospecting
  • Manage the full sales process, including quoting, presenting coverage options, handling objections, and closing sales
  • Service Team will assist with a majority of the customer onboarding and servicing, so you can focus on sales.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly production requirements aligned with future agency ownership standards
  • Present insurance solutions based on client needs, risk exposures, and long-term goals
  • Maintain strict adherence to underwriting, rating, and compliance guidelines
  • Demonstrate ownership-level discipline, professionalism, and follow-through

Requirements
  • Must be actively licensed in Texas for Property & Casualty ( Life & Health license as well preffered)
  • Prior insurance sales experience required
  • Strong interest in long-term agency ownership and business building
  • Comfortable with performance expectations, accountability, and consistent prospecting
  • Self-directed, organized, and able to operate independently
  • Coachable and receptive to structured feedback and mentorship
