We are currently searching for a Project Implementation & Sales Specialist for our client located in the Wheeling, IL area.

Our client is an innovative specialty chemical company committed to developing high-performance surface treatment solutions. Our CreteFx product line represents the forefront of concrete epoxy coatings technology, delivering superior durability, aesthetics, and performance for both commercial and industrial applications. We serve a nationwide network of professional contractors and wholesale distributors who rely on CreteFx products to deliver exceptional results for their clients.

Position Summary

We are seeking a driven, technically savvy Project Implementation & Sales Specialist to lead nationwide sales efforts for the CreteFx concrete coatings product group. This individual will serve as the primary face of CreteFx to contractors and distributors across the country — building relationships, growing revenue, and acting as the go-to technical expert in the field. The ideal candidate combines strong sales instincts with hands-on knowledge of concrete epoxy coatings and a passion for helping customers succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Growth & Business Development

  • Drive national sales of CreteFx epoxy coatings to contractor end-users and wholesale distributors.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with contractors, applicators, and resellers.
  • Expand the distributor network by prospecting and onboarding new wholesale partners.
  • Gather and track project bid opportunities to build a strong, qualified sales pipeline.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.

Technical Support & Field Training

  • Serve as the primary technical expert on CreteFx product specifications, application methods, and best practices.
  • Conduct hands-on field training sessions for contractors, applicators, and distributor staff.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and problem-resolution support for active projects.
  • Deliver product demonstrations and application clinics to new and existing customers.

Channel & Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key contractor accounts and distribution partners.
  • Identify and engage new reseller partners to broaden market reach.
  • Proactively communicate pricing, promotions, and new product introductions to the channel.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Research & Development to relay field intelligence and customer feedback for product improvement and new product development.
  • Coordinate with Technical Support on complex project challenges and product performance issues.
  • Work with Marketing to align field efforts with campaigns, collateral, and trade show activities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to stay informed on product availability and lead times.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of field sales experience in construction chemicals, coatings, concrete products, or a closely related specialty building materials category.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technical products to contractors and/or distributor audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with epoxy coatings, concrete surface prep, or flooring systems — application knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a national, regional or multi-territory role.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% nationally.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred

  • Experience with distributor channel development and/or wholesale account management.
  • Background in technical sales support, product training, or applications engineering.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and pipeline management software.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Construction Management, or a related field.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentive compensation.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Full expense reimbursement for business travel.
  • Opportunity to represent a growing, innovative product line in a high-demand market.
  • Collaborative culture with direct access to R&D, technical support, and leadership.
