Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the Clinical Services Department.
  • Lead interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings and support individualized patient care planning.
  • Oversee psychosocial assessments, discharge planning, family meetings, and community resource coordination.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, utilization review, admissions, and executive leadership to promote safe, high-quality patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation, Alabama Department of Mental Health requirements, HIPAA, EMTALA, and organizational policies.
  • Monitor departmental performance, documentation quality, patient outcomes, and survey readiness.
  • Promote patient rights, trauma-informed care, and a culture of accountability and service excellence

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Current Alabama licensure or license eligibility (LICSW, LMSW, LPC, ALC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Minimum three years of behavioral health experience.
  • Minimum two years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Acute inpatient psychiatric hospital experience preferred.
  • Experience with CMS surveys and behavioral health regulations preferred.
