Now, we're entering a new phase of growth and are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team, contributing to the PDW Quality Assurance program. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and will play a pivotal role in assuring product conformity to PDW's end users.
What You'll Do
  • Inspect first articles, in-process, and final assemblies prior to shipment
  • Perform mechanical inspections of machined metal and plastic purchased components
  • Perform various inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gages, comparators, and fixtures to verify in process work and perform detailed inspection of final product
  • Complete all data inspection control plans as required via Microsoft suite and SharePoint data repository
  • Perform Inspections on electro-mechanical assemblies, cables and wire harnesses
  • Perform visual PCBA inspections to Engineering requirements
  • Will assist in all areas of Inspection - Receiving Inspection, PCBA Inspection, Sub-Assembly Inspection, Final Assembly Inspection
  • Interface with Production Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain as required to ensure purchased components meet PDW Purchase Order and Engineering requirements
  • Comply with all Company Policies and Quality Management System Procedures

Requirements
  • Extensive experience in inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, comparators, and fixtures to verify in process work and perform detailed inspection of final product
  • Experience inspecting PCBA and Wire Harness assemblies
  • Experience with Electro-Mechanical assemblies
  • Proven ability to successfully multi-task in a fast paced, high throughput environment.
  • Proven ability to work collectively within a larger group or individually
  • Ability to read and understand technical Engineering documents
  • Proven ability to complete Inspection documentation accurately
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Suite platform and SharePoint
  • Organizational and Time Management discipline
  • Problem solving and Analytical thinking skills
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance or higher, as required

Physical Requirements
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about regularly throughout the day and lift / carry up to 25 pounds. Must have manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
Work Environment
This position may have exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) depending on the environment. This is a fast-paced work environment and requires cross departmental collaboration with independent and team-based responsibilities. Standard works hours for this position are 7:00AM - 3:30PM with occasional overtime as operational needs demand.
