Job description

The Director, People Data & Analytics is responsible for harnessing the full potential of AGA People Data to drive data-informed workforce and business decisions across the global enterprise. Reporting to the VP, HR Systems, this role leads the global people analytics function, establishing the strategic roadmap, data architecture, governance, advanced analytics, and data-driven storytelling capabilities. The Director leads a team of data analysts and specialists to build and sustain scalable, user-friendly analytics tools and dashboards aligned with corporate and HR objectives.
This role interfaces with AGA regional business units, Global Process Owners, HR Centers of Excellence (COEs), line managers, and Digital Technology to optimize organizational decision-making across the entire hire-to-retire lifecycle. Furthermore, the Director actively champions data literacy and capability building across HR and senior leadership, ensuring complex metrics are translated into strategic business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Strategic Roadmap: Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive global People Analytics strategy and solutions roadmap aligned with HR and broader business objectives.
  • Aligned KPIs & Metrics: Partner with Global Process Owners and executive leaders to identify, validate, and benchmark key performance indicators (KPIs) measuring HR, workforce productivity, talent process efficiency, and skills development impact.
  • People Data Architecture & Engineering: Oversee the architecture, design, and integration of enterprise data models, visualization tools, and databases, harmonizing data across SAP SuccessFactors, Databricks, Power BI, and auxiliary systems.
  • Advanced Analytics & Insights: Direct statistical analysis and advanced analytics initiatives-including predictive modeling, Organizational Network Analysis (ONA), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and sentiment analysis-to evaluate workforce trends and operational productivity.
  • Data Governance, Quality & Compliance: Establish rigorous data quality checks, data auditing cycles, and data governance protocols in coordination with IT, ensuring compliance with global data privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR) and SOX/ITGC standards.
  • Systems Enablement, UX & Accessibility: Advocate for user-friendly design principles, ensuring analytics portals/sites, mobile solutions, and self-service dashboards are accessible, intuitive, and tailored to diverse end-user groups.
  • Workforce Consulting & Storytelling: Combine business acumen and domain knowledge with data-driven storytelling to consult with executive leaders, translating complex quantitative data into actionable strategic insights.
  • Capability Building & Enablement: Execute comprehensive training, documentation, and workshop programs to upskill HR Business Partners and Business Leaders in utilizing workforce metrics effectively.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Direct analytics operational budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization while managing vendor contracts, SLAs, and third-party AMS support partners.
  • Agile Deployment & Project Management: Oversee a portfolio of analytics projects from inception to completion, deploying iterative agile releases with continuous feedback loops and structure work intake process.

Education & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in systems and data management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g.,People Analytics Certification, SAP SuccessFactors Certification, Databricks Certification, Power BI Certification) preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HRIS, people data, and reporting/analytics leadership experience in multi-national organizations.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale global HR technology or analytics projects.
  • Proven track record leading multi-location, multi-disciplinary global teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting strategic workforce metrics and statistical analyses to executive leadership.
  • Core capability mastery spanning Consulting, Data Science & Research, IT/Systems & Databases, Data Visualization, and Storytelling.
  • Technical proficiency with database concepts, SQL, advanced MS Access/Excel, SAP SuccessFactors, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Deep understanding of global workforce data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) and data governance frameworks.

Compensation:
Base Salary Range: $180,000 - $220,000 + Bonus Incentive
