Position Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Program Director, the Data Analytics and Operations Engineer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's analytics ecosystem, including data pipelines, data warehouse models, reporting infrastructure, and business intelligence solutions.

This is a hands-on, service-oriented role that combines analytics engineering, business intelligence, operational support, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration responsibilities. The position is best suited for someone who enjoys broad ownership, practical problem solving, and supporting a wide range of business needs within an established operating environment.

As the organization continues to explore AI-enabled capabilities, this role will also support efforts to improve and prepare data assets for automation, machine learning, and agentic workflow initiatives by ensuring underlying data structures are usable, consistent, and operationally sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

Required

• 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, analytics, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and semantic-layer concepts.
• Experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
• Experience working within software engineering workflows and source control processes.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Technical: Dbt | Amazon Redshift | Amazon QuickSight | AWS | Python | GitHub | Docker | SQL

• Data governance practices
• Healthcare, finance, or regulated-industry experience

Daily Functions

Analytics & Data Operations

• Monitor and support daily ELT pipelines and reporting processes.
• Design, document, and implement updates to data warehouse models as source systems evolve.
• Design, document, and maintain semantic-layer and business intelligence data models.
• Support month-end reporting and other recurring business processes.
• Improve, standardize, and prepare data assets to support emerging AI and automation initiatives.
• Design and implement data transformations that improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, and usability for downstream analytics and AI-driven workflows.
• Troubleshoot data issues and support analytics-related requests across the organization.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for analytics infrastructure and reporting systems.
• Prepare and report on internal departmental metrics and analytics.
• Support leadership requests related to reporting, analysis, and data-driven initiatives.
