Purpose at Ashley:
The Customer Service Representative is the front-line ambassador for Ashley, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating positive experiences for every customer. This position serves as the first point of contact for customers, providing administrative support to store operations while assisting with various office functions. The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in building customer relationships and supports the operational excellence that drives Ashley's retail success.
What You'll Do
  • Front Desk & Customer Service : Greet all customers in a warm, professional manner representing Ashley's brand image. Provide exceptional customer service through all interactions including in-person, phone, and email communications.
  • Sales Order Support: Assist with processing sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all required documentation is complete, and proper approvals are obtained before finalizing transactions.
  • Customer Account Management: Process customer credit applications, assist with financing arrangements, and maintain accurate customer account information in retail management systems.
  • Cash Handling & Financial Procedures : Follow established cash handling procedures, process payments accurately, and reconcile transactions according to company policies under Office Manager supervision.
  • Customer Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally, escalating complex issues to Management as appropriate while following up to ensure resolution.
  • Audit & Compliance Assistance : Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy of paperwork.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperwork is properly completed and filed according to company standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to ensure seamless customer experience and efficient store operations.
  • Technology & Systems: Utilize point-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by management

What You Bring
  • Legally authorized to work in the US.
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions
  • 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience, preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays; including rotation for store opening and closing responsibilities - various shifts
  • Maintain reliable attendance
