Job Summary: Quality Liquid Feeds, Inc., a nationwide leader in the development and manufacturing of liquid feed supplements for animals, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Plant Manager for our Comstock Park, MI location. The Plant Manager will oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring the highest standards of feed safety, feed quality, and regulatory compliance. This role involves overseeing quality assurance, process improvements, product liability management, and maintaining FDA, Safe Feed Safe Food, State Quality Assurance, and FSMA standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily operations of the QLF manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
  • Manage feed safety and feed quality to comply with regulatory standards, including FDA and FSMA.
  • Administer and maintain regulatory compliance for Safe Feed Safe Food and State Quality Assurance.
  • Lead and manage continuous process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality.
  • Oversee product liability protocols and manage related risks.
  • Develop and implement new product initiatives in line with company goals and market demand.
  • Ensure proper communication and coordination between different departments, including suppliers and internal teams.
  • Track and report plant performance, providing necessary analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop plant staff to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
