RESPONSIBILITIES:

As aMedicaid Pending Associate, your primary responsibility is to organize and maintain all records relating to medical billing in an effective, efficient, and financially sound manner.

  • Maintain an effective and organized system to submit accurate statements or resident charges to appropriate payers.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and complete statements of resident charges to appropriate payers.
  • Process correspondence related to reimbursement in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Participate in planning meetings to improve department processes.
  • Verify accuracy of resident charges from all sources.
  • Accurately track and collect reimbursements due from all private payer sources.
  • Follow up on all account collection procedures.
  • Facilitate inquiries, reconsiderations, and appeals to appropriate employees and payer sources upon denial.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of Long Term Care, Personal Care, and Independent Living billing/collections preferred
  • Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, and Private billing/collections experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • High School Diploma or GED
