We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Account Manager to join our Commercial Lines team in our Rockville, MD office.

The selected individual will be responsible for assisting Account Managers and Producers with the administration and servicing of accounts in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the Company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Account Managers and Producers in gathering the necessary information regarding new/existing accounts and submitting this information to the various carriers to obtain proposals.
  • Review the proposals received from the various carriers, create spreadsheets, make recommendations to the Producer, and then place these in a formal accurate proposal presentation.
  • Assist the Producer with coordinating workflow between the internal staff, clients and insurance carriers.
  • Process changes in coverage as requested and needed by customer.
  • Update all account information in the agency management system as needed.
  • Serve as a backup to the office receptionist.
  • Attend and complete any training sessions or assignments as required.
  • Present a professional image as a representative of the company.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and every level of management.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
  • Responsible for completing all assigned tasks or projects, as needed.
  • Other job responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and automated agency management systems.
  • Mastery of virtual technology, including meeting scheduling, video display and screen sharing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • High level attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

The expected salary range for this position is $28.20 to $33.33 hourly and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
