Job description

Overview
Looking for a role where your customer service skills make a difference and where the company invests in you from day one? Join RealPage Insurance as a Licensed Insurance Agent I, supporting renters across the country through inbound insurance inquiries.
This is a fast-paced, service-focused role where you'll help residents navigate their renters insurance policies with confidence ,while RealPage covers the cost of your insurance licensing and provides hands-on training to set you up for success.
Responsibilities
As a Licensed Insurance Agent I, you'll be the first point of contact for residents calling in for help with their insurance policies. You'll handle:
  • High-volume inbound calls (50-80/day, peak seasons can be back-to-back)

  • Policy servicing transactions including payments, billing questions, rewrites, and edits

  • Website navigation and basic troubleshooting

  • Select claims and coverage inquiries (within scope)

  • Accurate documentation of every interaction in RealPage's proprietary CRM

  • Evaluating payment options and alternative arrangements when needed

  • Delivering a high level of first-call resolution and customer satisfaction

  • You'll work in a structured contact center environment where attention to detail, multitasking, and time management are key.

RealPage will:
  • Pay for pre-licensing education (52+ hours of self-paced learning completed during work hours)

  • Cover up to two exam attempts

  • Pay for licensing, renewals, and reimburse most continuing education costs

  • Support you through fingerprinting and background requirements

You must obtain your Property & Casualty Insurance License within 30 days of hire.
Schedule Expectations
  • Full-time, hourly role

  • Flexible scheduling within Contact Center hours

  • Saturday shifts required (2-3 Saturdays per 4-week schedule period)

  • Overtime may be required during peak business needs

  • Preference for Central or Eastern time zones (varied shift options including 9-6, 10-7, 11-8, 12-9 CT)

Qualifications
  • Proven track record with 2+ years of customer service or call center experience, showcasing adaptability and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to type 30+ WPM while speaking with customers
  • Comfortable navigating multiple systems and tools at once
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused
  • Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Insurance experience is a plus-but not required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to confidentiality
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new processes
