Role Responsibilities: As a Modern Woodmen agent, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals and families plan for secure financial futures while building meaningful, long-term relationships in your community. Responsibilities include:
  • Personalized Member Consultations: Meet with individuals and families to understand their current financial situation and long-term goals, offering tailored life insurance and investment-based solutions (once state certifications and company sponsored training are achieved).
  • Financial Guidance: Educate members on a variety of financial tools including life insurance, retirement planning, college savings, and other asset protection strategies.
  • Member Lead Engagement: Meet with existing member leads provided through local marketing efforts and community engagement initiatives.
  • Relationship Building: Provide exceptional, ongoing service to members with regular reviews and check-ins to adjust financial plans as life evolves.
  • Community Engagement: Actively build your network through relationship-based prospecting, local involvement, referrals, and member events.
  • Training and Growth: Participate in Modern Woodmens mentorship and training programs to sharpen your professional skills and explore paths to leadership.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed performance benchmarks for member activity, plan implementation, and retention.
  • Compliance & Ethics: Adhere to all industry regulations, company policies, and state licensing requirements, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all member interactions.

Gregory D. Mallett, Regional Director/Investment Advisor Representative
  • Prior Experience: Before Modern Woodmen, Gregory was a Journeyman Electrician in Little Rock, Arkansas.
  • Time with MWA: 35 years as of July 1st.
  • Outside of Work: Passionate about faith and family. Enjoys playing golf, hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar.
  • About: Serves as President of the NAFIC (National Association of Fraternal Insurance Counselors) and as a board member of Soul Care with his wife, a ministry out of Liberty, Missouri, that supports pastors and church leaders and their families.
Valerie Welker, Financial Representative
  • Prior Experience: Former college swimmer at Virginia Tech.
  • Time with MWA: 7 years.
  • Outside of Work: Loves to travel the world, passionate about Girl Scouts and giving back to the community.
Bryant Brown, Managing Partner & Investment Advisor
  • Prior Experience: Played college tennis at Southern Nazarene University.
  • Time with MWA: 20+ years.
  • Outside of Work: Focuses on family, church, and tennis. Enjoys the outdoors, riding motorcycles, and playing tennis. Has three children, with one in college.
Layton, Managing Partner & Investment Advisor
  • Prior Experience: Started right out of college. Founded and sold an options trading blog before transitioning into financial services. Holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Central Arkansas.

  • Outside of Work: Married, loves golfing, hunting, and spending time with family. A huge Arkansas Razorback fan.
Carson Wooster, Financial Representative & Investment Advisor
  • Prior Experience: Played college soccer and graduated from Oklahoma State, a huge Cowboys fan.
